Prayer Part 2: Spiritual Warfare
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
Spiritual warfare is real, but luckily for us, God gave us the six necessary “tools” (weapons) to protect us, because our fight is not against flesh-and -blood enemies. One thing you must remember is that you are never ever alone, because He fights our battels for us (Exo 14;14) and in Ephesian 6:10;11 God commands us to put our trust in Him and we must put om the full armor He gave us, so that we can stand strong against the dark one’s cunning attacks on your life
In the previous article we learned that prayer is our deep appeal to God, and also that If we pray to …. Our Father that is in the heaven …. it not only means that He is high and Holly (in heaven), but also that He is our loving, caring God (our God), and the reason He gave us the necessary “tools” to stand strong because He really cares about you. To be able to stand your ground, you need to put on:
- The belt of truth (Eph 6:14)
- The body amor of God’s righteousness (Eph 6:14).
- The shoes of willingness to spread the gospel (Eph 6:15).
- The shield of faith against Satan’s scorching arrows (Eph 6:16).
- The helmet of salvation (Eph 6:17).
- The sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word (Eph 6:17).
If you put on these six weapons every morning, plus you do know that you have the best Warrior on your side, you are set for the day and Satan can take his best shot, you are covered.
