Prayer

Prayer

Let’s look at the definition of prayer. In Exo 32:11 we learn that prayer is seeking God’s favour and therefore, we can see prayer as a deep appeal to God. The spiritual communication with God. Prayer is a form of worship – appealing through thanksgiving, respect and confession to God. According to
Jesus’s prayer should be mostly private time between God and the worshiper, although He said also to pray with others isn’t wrong but if you pray for them those prayers should be sincere. To me prayer is like telephone line that is never engage. The minute when Jesus Chris breathed His last
breath, dying for me and you, He arranged for an open communication line between God and us. God’s idea of prayer is that it is an intimate and happy communion between God humans, and therefore, prayer is your strongest weapon in life and it’s infinitely more than just words that’s
spoken, it’s seeking your Fathers will. Now that you know just how important prayer is in your life it will also be good to know just how to pray.
In Matt 6:9-13 Jesus teaches us how to pray. We usually pray to Our Father or Great God but do we actually realise the importance of this introduction. If we pray to …. Our Father that is in the heaven …. it not only means that He is high and Holly (in heaven), but also that He is our loving, caring God (our God). Always remember that it’s all about God and that’s why when you pray you must glorify God and make Him big because He is. After that you
start praying for daily needs, and by that, I mean daily not weekly or monthly. God knows your needs and He will provide them.

As an intercessor I can tell out of personal experience that it’s so fulfilling to pray for others. Almost always when focusing on praying for other people and their problems, God comes through for you in your own life. You are a child of God according to 1 John 3:1 and that’s
why you can ask your Father for anything and to help in every situation.

To summarize one can, say that prayer consists of 4 basic steps.

  • Step 1. Glorify God,
  • Step 2. Pray for basic needs,
  • Step 3. Pray for others and
  • Step 4. You may pray for yourself.

I want to challenge you to start make praying a habit.
